The Los Cabos municipal government will host the First Civil Associations Fair on Saturday, April 25, at Plaza León Cota Collins in Cabo San Lucas. The free, all-day event runs from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and will bring together 127 local organizations, including foundations, community kitchens, and rehabilitation centers.

José Manuel Guerrero Avilés, director of the municipal Office of Citizen Services (Atención Ciudadana), announced the event in March. City officials held planning meetings with participating organizations and conducted a lottery to assign booth spaces across the plaza.

What to Expect at the Fair

The 127 organizations will set up booths where attendees can learn about their services, volunteer opportunities, and community programs. The fair is designed to give visibility to the social work these groups carry out across the Los Cabos municipality.

A keynote address by motivational speaker Adriana Macías is scheduled as part of the program. Macías, who was born without arms and became a lawyer and author, is a well-known figure on the Mexican speaking circuit. Local cultural performances will round out the day’s events.

Location and Access Details

Plaza León Cota Collins sits in central Cabo San Lucas, near the main boulevard. The plaza is a familiar landmark for residents and is easily accessible by public transportation or car. Admission is free.

For English-speaking residents looking to connect with local nonprofits, the fair offers a rare chance to meet dozens of organizations in one place. Groups offering rehabilitation services, food assistance, and community development programs will all be represented.

The event is organized by the XV Ayuntamiento (municipal government) of Los Cabos. It is the first time the city has organized a fair of this scale focused exclusively on civil associations.
