The 26th edition of the Cabo 250 off-road race will take place on July 19 in Cabo San Lucas, with more than 100 motorcycles and cars expected to compete on an approximately 110-kilometer desert circuit. Municipal authorities and race organizers held a logistics planning meeting this week to finalize safety and operational details for the event.
Motorcycles will depart from the staging area known as El Bordo at 8:00 a.m., followed by cars at 9:30 a.m. According to race organizers, the car category will complete two laps of the circuit. The route historically runs along the arroyo toward Los Pozos, across trails to Mesa Verde, and back down to Cabo San Lucas. The event is expected to wrap up around 4:00 p.m., with an awards ceremony at 6:00 p.m.

Technical vehicle inspection is scheduled for July 18, one day before the race. Pre-registration remains open, and a starting-position draw will be held on July 15 through the State Automobile Association of Baja California Sur (Asociación Estatal de Automovilismo de BCS). Salvador Carrillo Torres, president of the association, confirmed the organization’s commitment to running a well-structured event with high safety standards.
The Cabo 250 has been a fixture on the Baja off-road racing calendar for over two decades. Last year’s edition took place on July 11 and 12 in the same area, with coordination from the municipal delegate of Cabo San Lucas and local civil protection teams.

Road closures and heavy crowd activity near the El Bordo staging area, located near the main bridge by the soccer fields in central Cabo San Lucas, should be expected throughout race day.
