Los Cabos is bracing for an estimated 50,000 spring break visitors across the five-week peak season running from March 2 through April 3, 2026. Hotel occupancy across the tourist corridor is averaging 80 percent, with more than a dozen major resorts already sold out during the busiest weeks of late March.

The heaviest demand falls in four consecutive peak weeks: March 8–12, March 15–19, March 22–26, and March 29–April 2, according to local tourism board data. Restaurants, beach clubs, and nightlife venues are advising advance reservations throughout the period.

The spring break scene in Cabo San Lucas centers on Medano Beach, the only swimmable beach in the bay, and a stretch of nightlife venues along Boulevard Marina and Lázaro Cárdenas. The most popular venues include:

Party cruises to the famous Arch of Cabo San Lucas (El Arco) with open bar and fajitas are another spring break staple, departing from the Cabo San Lucas marina daily.

Baja California Sur holds a Level 2 (“Exercise Increased Caution”) travel advisory from the U.S. State Department – the second-lowest risk level, and among the safest ratings in all of Mexico. Local authorities have deployed additional police units to the nightlife district and Medano Beach for the season.

Visitors should book restaurant reservations and beach club access well in advance during peak weeks. Cabo’s main hospital, Hospital H+ Los Cabos, is located on the tourist corridor between Cabo San Lucas and San José del Cabo.
