La Paz’s third annual Spring Festival opened March 24 at the Municipal Arts Center (Centro Municipal de las Artes), offering four days of free programming that spans visual art, dance, classical guitar, and live vocal performance. The La Paz Spring Festival runs through Thursday, March 27, with all events open to the public at no charge.

Dance, Yoga, and K-Pop on the Schedule

The festival lineup includes performances in folkloric dance, ballet, and K-pop, along with master classes in yoga and gym dance. Visual art exhibitions featuring student work from multiple disciplines are also on display at the Municipal Arts Center, which sits in the city’s downtown cultural district near the Malecón waterfront.

Classical guitar recitals fill out the midweek schedule. The programming draws from La Paz’s network of municipal arts students, giving young performers a public stage in front of their own community.

Benefit Concert Closes the Festival Friday

The festival wraps up Friday, March 27, with a benefit concert headlined by vocalist Edith Bañuelos and musicians from the Pablo Casals Music School. The Pablo Casals school, based in La Paz, trains students in classical and contemporary music and regularly stages public concerts in the Baja California Sur capital.

La Paz, a city of roughly 300,000 on the Sea of Cortez, has expanded its municipal arts programming in recent years. The Municipal Arts Center hosts year-round classes in visual arts, music, and dance, and the Spring Festival has become an annual showcase for that work since its first edition in 2023.

The festival is free to attend, and no tickets or registration are required. The Municipal Arts Center is located in La Paz’s centro histórico, walking distance from the Malecón and the city’s main plaza, Jardín Velasco. Details were published by the La Paz municipal government’s official news portal.
