A 31-year-old woman identified as Daniela was found dead inside her home in the Hacienda de Castilla neighborhood of Mexicali on Sunday. Her ex-partner, age 24, called authorities after discovering her body when he returned to the residence to collect his belongings.
The man told investigators he had moved out of the home on Avenida Gilas on Friday, March 27. When he returned days later, he found Daniela unresponsive and contacted emergency services.
Stab Wound and Evidence Found at Scene
Responding officers found a stab wound on the left side of Daniela’s neck, consistent with a sharp object. Blood was present throughout the house, and a knife was recovered beside the bed.
Authorities interviewed the ex-partner at the scene. No arrest has been reported. Investigators have not publicly ruled out any suspects, and the case remains under active investigation.
