A High-Traffic Intersection

The intersection of Reforma and Tercera sits in one of Ensenada’s busiest corridors. Avenida Reforma runs through the heart of the city’s commercial district, carrying heavy vehicle and pedestrian traffic at all hours. The crash occurred after dark on a Thursday night, when foot traffic in the area is common.

No description of the vehicle involved has been released, and authorities have not announced any suspects in the hit-and-run. It remains unclear whether traffic cameras or witnesses captured the incident.

Pedestrian safety on Ensenada’s main avenues has been an ongoing concern. Many intersections in the downtown core lack adequate lighting or pedestrian signals, and crosswalk markings are often faded or absent.
