The Baja California Sur state government delivered essential goods to Espacio ALAS, a temporary shelter for women experiencing violence, as part of its “Yo Me Uno” collection drive. Multiple state agencies and private companies participated in the effort, which gathered non-perishable food, hygiene products, bedding, and other materials.

The donation drive involved the State Water Commission (CEA), the State Roads Board (JEC), and the Housing Institute (INVI), along with private construction firms. Staff across these agencies collected the supplies, which were then delivered directly to the shelter.

What Espacio ALAS Provides

Espacio ALAS operates under the BCS Women’s Institute (ISMUJERES) and serves as a temporary refuge for women and their children fleeing violent situations. The shelter offers psychological counseling, legal assistance, and specialized care in addition to safe housing.
