AgroBaja, the largest agricultural exposition in northwestern Mexico, returns to Mexicali for its 25th anniversary edition from March 5 through March 8, 2026. The four-day event at Km 7.5 on the Mexicali-San Felipe Highway brings together farmers, ranchers, fisheries operators, and agribusiness companies from across the peninsula and mainland Mexico. The expo grounds open at 10:00 a.m. daily, with exhibits running until 9:00 p.m. and the ticket office closing at 6:00 p.m. Admission is free for seniors holding an INAPAM credential and for people with disabilities.

This year’s AgroBaja features expanded pavilions covering livestock production, commercial fishing and aquaculture, non-traditional agricultural products, wine, artisan cheese, Medjool dates from the San Luis Río Colorado growing region, and Baja California’s rapidly expanding craft beer sector. Major buyers confirmed to attend include procurement teams from Walmart Mexico, Oxxo, 7-Eleven, Calimax, and Circulo K, giving small and mid-size producers direct access to retail distribution channels. A livestock auction is scheduled for Saturday, March 7 at 1:00 p.m. in the main arena, featuring breeding stock from Mexicali Valley cattle operations.

Getting There and What to Bring

The expo grounds sit along the Mexicali-San Felipe highway roughly 15 minutes south of the Calexico East port of entry. Visitors driving from the U.S. side should cross at the Calexico East commercial port, turn south onto the San Felipe highway (Mexico 5), and watch for expo signage at the Km 7.5 marker. Parking is available on-site. Temperatures in Mexicali in early March typically range from 55 to 80 degrees Fahrenheit, so dress in layers and bring sun protection for the outdoor pavilions. The expo draws more than 100,000 visitors over its four-day run, so arriving before noon on weekdays offers the best chance to browse exhibits without heavy crowds.
