The Viñadas wine festival circuit in Valle de Guadalupe has expanded to 18 events for its 2026 season. This is up from 14 in 2025 and just 10 in 2024. Specifically, the season opens May 23 at Salvia Blanca winery. It continues through summer and fall with tastings, harvest celebrations, and food pairings across the valley. As a result, attendance has grown sharply. It jumped from roughly 4,500 visitors in 2024 to 7,500 in 2025. Organizers expect to surpass 10,000 this year.

Participating wineries include established names like Don Tomas, Castillo Ferrer, Ojo Azul, and Casa Luna. Additionally, newer boutique producers along the Ruta del Vino corridor have joined the circuit. Each event features a different host winery that pairs its wines with food from local chefs. Consequently, the format gives visitors an incentive to attend multiple events. It also spreads tourist traffic across a wider window, benefiting the valley’s restaurants, hotels, and shops.

New for 2026: Expo Agro Valle de Guadalupe

Furthermore, this year’s lineup includes a new two-day event. The Expo Agro Valle de Guadalupe is scheduled for June. The expo combines wine tastings with agricultural demonstrations and a rodeo program. It also features a live wine auction with rare vintages from participating wineries. Indeed, the addition reflects a broader push to position the valley as a year-round agritourism destination rather than a summer-only wine trip. Visitors planning to attend Viñadas events should book accommodations well in advance, as the valley’s limited hotel inventory fills quickly on event weekends. Options range from luxury boutique hotels like Encuentro Guadalupe and Bruma to more affordable bed-and-breakfasts along the highway in the town of El Porvenir. The drive from the San Ysidro border crossing to Valle de Guadalupe takes approximately 90 minutes via the Ensenada toll road (Mexico 1D) and the Tecate-Ensenada highway (Mexico 3).
