The Toros de Tijuana opened spring training Monday, March 9, at Toros Mobil Park in the Cerro Colorado area, with 90% of the roster reporting as the club prepares for the 2026 Liga Mexicana de Béisbol season.
Manager Roberto Kelly is overseeing the preseason camp, which includes 15 preparation games across Tijuana before the regular season begins. The Toros will open their campaign on the road with series against the Saraperos de Saltillo and the Algodoneros de Unión Laguna, according to Zeta Tijuana.
Toros Mobil Park, the 21,000-seat stadium off Boulevard Insurgentes in the Cerro Colorado neighborhood, is about a 20-minute drive south of the San Ysidro border crossing. Tickets for regular season games typically start around 150 pesos ($8 USD) for general admission, making it one of the most affordable live sports options in the region. The stadium also serves beer, tacos, and other concessions at prices well below what fans pay at MLB parks across the border in San Diego.
The Liga Mexicana de Béisbol is Mexico’s top professional baseball league, comparable in caliber to AAA minor league ball in the United States. Games run from spring through summer, with most home dates on weekday evenings and weekends. For English speakers living in Tijuana or visiting from San Diego, a Toros game is an easy outing with a distinctly Mexican atmosphere: think mariachi between innings, carne asada in the stands, and a crowd that treats every home run like a holiday.
The full regular season schedule and ticket information are available on the Toros de Tijuana website and at the Mobil Park box office.
