The Toros de Tijuana revealed a new visual identity for the 2026 Mexican Baseball League (LMB) season during a ceremony at Toros Mobil Park on March 28. The two-time champions showed off updated logos, uniforms, and team branding before a crowd of fans at their home stadium in Tijuana.
The event, billed as a season presentation night, featured live music and fan activities alongside the official uniform reveal. The franchise’s traditional black, red, and white color scheme remains, but the refreshed designs aim to mark a new chapter for the club heading into the upcoming campaign.
Season Opens April 17 in Saltillo
The Toros will open the 2026 regular season on April 17 with a road series against the Saraperos de Saltillo in Coahuila. The home opener at Toros Mobil Park is set for April 24, when the club hosts the Acereros de Monclova. That matchup carries history: Monclova was also the opponent for the 2018 home opener, the year after Tijuana won its first Serie del Rey title.
Manager Roberto Kelly returns to lead the squad. The former MLB outfielder, who played 12 seasons in the major leagues, has been at the helm as the organization pushes for another championship. The Toros won Serie del Rey titles in 2017 and 2021 and have claimed three division championships in total.
Key Dates on the 2026 Calendar
The LMB’s midseason break runs June 26 through 28, with the All-Star Game and Home Run Derby scheduled at Walmart Park in Monterrey. The second half begins June 29 when the Toros visit Monclova. Tijuana will close the regular season at home against Algodoneros de Unión Laguna and Acereros de Monclova before a final road trip to Durango.
The franchise, owned by Alejandro Uribe Herrera and led by president Alberto Uribe Maytorena, originally joined the LMB in 2004 as the relocated Tecolotes de los Dos Laredos. After a hiatus from 2008 to 2013, the team returned in 2014 by acquiring the Petroleros de Minatitlán franchise. Toros Mobil Park, located in the Otay area of Tijuana, seats roughly 16,000 fans and sits about 15 minutes from the San Ysidro border crossing.
