A local wrestling promotion in Tijuana will combine lucha libre with the music of late Mexican icon Juan Gabriel this Friday, April 10, at the Auditorio Municipal Fausto Gutiérrez Moreno gymnasium. The event, dubbed “Lucha y Juan Ga,” is organized by Lucha Libre Tijuanense (LLT) and starts at 8:30 p.m.
The main event pits The Beast Mortos against Anubbis, billed as Tijuana’s newest rising star. Omar Martínez, LLT’s representative, said the promotion wanted to create something different from other wrestling companies in the region.
Full Card Features Five Matches
The semi-main event is a six-man tag match: Black Danger, Tony Casanova, and Cínico take on El Rey, Bamboo, and Torito Negro. A third bout features Aztec Fly and Amnesia Jr. against the team of Chris Nasty and Sonico. Two more matches with local talent round out the card.
“We wanted to do something different that other companies don’t do, and we think it can work because everyone loves lucha libre and Juan Gabriel,” Martínez told Semanario ZETA. He added that fans would leave “with a great taste in their mouths.”

The Auditorio Municipal Fausto Gutiérrez Moreno is located in central Tijuana, a well-known venue for local sporting events. Tickets are available at the venue’s box office and online at primerafila.mx. Pricing was not specified in promotional materials.
Juan Gabriel, born Alberto Aguilera Valadez, died in 2016 at age 66. He remains one of Mexico’s most beloved musicians, known for hits like “Querida” and “Amor Eterno.” His music will play throughout the evening as a soundtrack to the matches, a format LLT says no other promotion has attempted.
