Mexican pop rock band Los Claxons will play an intimate acoustic set at Foro AH MUN in Tijuana on Saturday, May 9, at 9:00 p.m. The show is part of the group’s “Cantando-Contando” tour, which strips their catalog down to an unplugged format designed for smaller venues and closer audience interaction.
The Monterrey-born five-piece will perform fan favorites including “Antes que al mío,” “La posibilidad,” “Desde que tú estás,” “Flores en febrero,” and “Cuarto de hotel.” The acoustic format marks a departure from the band’s typical full-production concerts, giving Tijuana fans a rare chance to hear the songs in a stripped-back setting.
Two Decades of Mexican Pop Rock
Los Claxons formed in 2004 in Monterrey, Nuevo León. The current lineup includes Ignacio Llantada, Mauricio Sánchez, Édgar “Cholo” Lozano, Pablo González Sarre, and Cesáreo Castillo. The group signed with Movic Records early in their career and released their debut album “Sin Ganga,” which placed hits like “Mis manos necias” and “Personajes” on Mexican radio.
Their 2010 album “Camino a Encontrarte” earned a Latin Grammy nomination, cementing their place in Mexico’s pop rock scene. The band has maintained steady touring activity for over 20 years, with a strong following on the university circuit and at festivals across Mexico. They currently have more than 132,000 followers on Instagram.
