The instruments were distributed at the Casa de Música, a publicly funded music school in Los Cabos, Baja California Sur.

What Was Donated

The delivery included a digital piano, an electric keyboard, a clarinet, an electric bass, a ukulele, and a snare drum. Music stands and various accessories were also part of the package.

The Casa de Música currently offers individual instruction in piano, guitar, violin, cello, saxophone, trumpet, trombone, clarinet, flute, and voice. Group programs include solfège classes, introductory courses for children, an orchestra, a guitar ensemble, and a choir.

How to Enroll

Classes run Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Families interested in enrolling children or adults can contact the center at (624) 120-5702.

The school is named after Concepción Olachea Montejano, a teacher honored for her contributions to education in the region. It operates under the ICA, which manages cultural programming across the Los Cabos municipality.

The donation is part of the current municipal administration’s cultural investment efforts. Los Cabos is governed by its XV Ayuntamiento, the 15th municipal council, under Agúndez Gómez’s leadership.
