Children’s choirs from across Baja California will gather at CEART Ensenada on Saturday, April 25, for a daylong choral festival that ends with a free public concert. The event, called Encuentro Coral Comunitario “Todos Somos una Voz” (“We Are All One Voice”), will take place in the venue’s Aula Magna auditorium.
The festival brings together young singers from multiple communities throughout the state. Participants will spend the day rehearsing and collaborating before performing together for the public at no charge.
A Day of Rehearsal and Performance
The Encuentro Coral Comunitario is structured as a full day of musical work. Children’s choirs will rehearse jointly, building a shared repertoire before taking the stage for the closing concert. The format emphasizes collective expression and community building among the young performers.
CEART Ensenada, the Centro Estatal de las Artes (State Center for the Arts), sits on Boulevard Lázaro Cárdenas at Avenida Club Rotario. The state-run cultural center regularly hosts concerts, theater, visual arts exhibitions, and workshops. Its Aula Magna serves as the main performance hall for large events.
What to Know Before You Go
The closing concert is open to the public and free of charge. Organizers have not announced a specific start time for the evening performance, so attendees should check CEART Ensenada’s Facebook page for updates closer to the date. The venue is about 10 minutes south of downtown Ensenada by car, accessible from the Transpeninsular Highway.
Ensenada’s cultural calendar stays active through the spring. The UABC International Book Fair opens April 23 at Ventana Al Mar, and a shellfish and wine festival takes place April 19 at Hotel Coral and Marina. The choir festival offers a quieter alternative focused on local youth arts.
