The IMMLC, which operates under the Los Cabos municipal government, runs the program as part of its broader mission to promote women’s empowerment and recognize social impact at the local level. The award specifically targets women who have demonstrated personal achievement and dedicated service to their community.

A 15-Year Tradition in Los Cabos

Now in its 15th edition, the Mujer Maravilla recognition has become an established annual tradition in Cabo San Lucas. The program focuses exclusively on women living and working within the Cabo San Lucas delegation, one of the main population centers in the municipality of Los Cabos.

The ceremony on May 22 will serve as the culmination of the selection process, with the committee evaluating nominees based on their biographies and documented contributions. Past editions of the award have recognized women from a range of backgrounds, including community organizers, educators, and entrepreneurs.

Residents interested in nominating a candidate should send their submissions before the May 8 evaluation date. The Los Cabos municipal government posted the full announcement on its official website, loscabos.gob.mx.
