Baja Beach Fest, the reggaeton and Latin music festival held each August on the shores of Rosarito, will offer attendees a dedicated border Fast Pass lane for the 2026 edition. The three-day event runs August 7 through 9, about 45 minutes south of San Diego, and the new Baja Border Fast Pass grants access to a designated lane at the San Ysidro Ready Lane crossing when heading back to the United States.
How the Fast Pass Registration Works
Attendees who want the pass must register their vehicles by July 19. Registration requires the driver’s name, license plate number, and passenger count. Organizers will email a PDF credential before the festival, and each pass is single-use and non-transferable.
The pass routes holders into a special tourist lane at San Ysidro, the busiest land border crossing in the Western Hemisphere. Average wait times in the existing FastLane tourist program at San Ysidro run about 30 minutes, with waits of 15 minutes or less not unusual, according to Baja Bound Insurance’s border guide. Standard vehicle lanes at San Ysidro can stretch past two hours on busy weekends. U.S. Customs and Border Protection still controls final processing times, so the pass does not guarantee a specific wait.
Baja Bundles and 2026 Lineup
The Fast Pass comes bundled in the festival’s “Baja Bundle” ticket packages, though standalone availability has not been confirmed. Passes for the 2026 edition went on sale March 26, with general admission, GA+, VIP, and La Playa tiers available. Headliners this year include Anuel AA, Junior H, Ozuna, Nicky Jam, and John Summit.
Baja Beach Fest launched in 2018 as a single-day event founded by Chris Den Uijl and Aron Ampudia of La Familia Presenta. Past lineups have featured Bad Bunny, Karol G, Daddy Yankee, Peso Pluma, and Fuerza Regida. The festival now draws tens of thousands of cross-border visitors each summer.
All passengers in a Fast Pass vehicle must carry RFID-compliant documents (U.S. passport card, SENTRI card, or similar) to use the Ready Lane. Standard passport books do not qualify. Children under 16 are exempt from the RFID requirement. The vehicle registration deadline of July 19 falls roughly three weeks before the festival opens, as reported by Baja California Post.
