Baja California’s Fiscalía General del Estado (FGE), the state attorney general’s office, is asking the public to help locate a 16-year-old girl who disappeared in Tijuana on April 9.
Kimberly Guadalupe de Paz Lozano was last seen around noon near the intersection of Boulevard Margen Derecho and Calle Wahoo in the El Florido Primera Sección neighborhood, on the eastern edge of the city. She has not been heard from since.
Physical Description and Last Known Clothing
Authorities describe de Paz Lozano as slim, approximately 1.60 meters tall (about 5 feet 3 inches), with a dark complexion, dark brown eyes, and long wavy black hair. She has scars on both arms.
When last seen, she was wearing light blue jeans, a black shirt, and black-and-white Nike sneakers. The FGE released her physical description and clothing details to aid in identification.
Where She Was Last Seen
El Florido Primera Sección is a densely populated residential area in southeastern Tijuana, near the city’s border with the municipality of Tecate. The neighborhood sits along Boulevard Margen Derecho, a major road that runs parallel to the Alamar River channel. The area is home to large housing developments built in the early 2000s and is served by several public transit routes.
Missing persons cases involving minors in Tijuana are treated with heightened urgency. Baja California recorded hundreds of disappearance reports involving minors in recent years, and the FGE routinely issues public appeals to speed up searches.
How to Report Information
Anyone with information about Kimberly Guadalupe de Paz Lozano’s whereabouts should contact the FGE Tijuana tip line at (664) 683-9643. Tips can also be reported by dialing 911 or the anonymous tip line 089 from any phone in Mexico.
The FGE asked residents in the El Florido area and surrounding neighborhoods to be alert and report any sightings. This story was first reported by Punto Norte on April 12.
