The Fiscalía General del Estado (FGE), Baja California’s state attorney general’s office, is asking the public to help locate 17-year-old América Rimoldi Vega. She has been missing since May 27, 2026, from the Playas de Ensenada neighborhood in Ensenada.

Rimoldi Vega was last seen wearing her COBACH (Colegio de Bachilleres) preparatory school uniform: gray pants, a white T-shirt, a black hoodie, and black sneakers. COBACH is the state public high school system in Baja California.

Physical Description and Identifying Marks

Authorities describe the teen as 5 feet 4 inches tall (1.63 meters) and weighing approximately 99 pounds (45 kilograms). She has a slim build, light brown complexion, dark brown hair, and dark brown eyes.

Rimoldi Vega has notable identifying marks: scars from cuts on both her legs and arms. These marks could help someone recognize her even if her appearance has changed since she went missing.

Second Missing Minor in Ensenada This Week

This is the second active missing-person alert involving a minor in Ensenada in a matter of days. On May 28, one day after Rimoldi Vega’s disappearance, 12-year-old Milán Martínez was also reported missing in the city. Authorities have not publicly stated whether the two cases are connected.

Playas de Ensenada is a coastal residential area on the city’s western edge, close to popular beaches and tourist zones. The neighborhood sits south of the cruise ship terminal and the tourist corridor along Boulevard Costero.

How to Report Information

Anyone with information about América Rimoldi Vega’s whereabouts should contact the FGE at (646) 152-25-00, extensions 2560 or 2561. Callers in Mexico can also reach emergency services by dialing 911. The FGE handles missing-person cases for the entire state of Baja California.

Authorities urge residents and visitors in the Ensenada area to stay alert and report any sightings immediately. This story was first reported by Ensenada.net.
