The Baja California Attorney General’s Office (FGE) has issued a public appeal for information on the whereabouts of Hannah Michelle Valdez Flores, a 21-year-old woman who disappeared in Ensenada on April 14.
Valdez Flores was last seen in the Loma Dorada neighborhood, a residential area on the eastern side of Ensenada. Authorities have not disclosed the circumstances of her disappearance or whether foul play is suspected.
Description of the Missing Woman
According to the FGE bulletin, Valdez Flores has light brown skin, dark wavy hair, and dark brown eyes. She wears glasses. No details about her clothing at the time of her disappearance or her height and weight were included in the initial alert.
The FGE is urging anyone with information to contact state authorities immediately. Tips can be submitted directly to the attorney general’s office, which handles missing persons investigations across Baja California.
Missing Persons Cases Remain a Concern in Ensenada
Ensenada has faced persistent scrutiny over missing persons cases in recent years. The city drew international attention in 2024 after three surfers, two Australian brothers and an American from San Diego, were killed during a camping trip south of the city. That case led to multiple arrests and prompted protests demanding better security along the Baja California coast.
Baja California’s missing persons crisis extends well beyond high-profile cases involving foreigners. Mexican families across the state regularly report disappearances, and advocacy groups have pushed the FGE to devote more resources to locating missing individuals. Loma Dorada, the neighborhood where Valdez Flores was last seen, sits inland from Ensenada’s tourist corridor near the hills east of the city center.
Anyone with information about Hannah Michelle Valdez Flores can contact the FGE through its official channels or visit the nearest state prosecutor’s office. This story was first reported by Zeta Tijuana.
