The Baja California Attorney General’s Office (FGE) has issued a public alert for Yuliana Virginia Romero Vázquez, a 29-year-old Ensenada resident who has been missing since April 13, 2026. Her mother reported that date as the last time Romero Vázquez made contact.

The FGE is asking anyone with information about her whereabouts to call the agency’s Missing Persons Unit in Ensenada at (646) 152-25-00. The same phone line, with extensions 2559 and 2560, handles all missing person cases in the Ensenada zone.

Physical Description and Identifying Tattoos

Romero Vázquez stands approximately 5 feet 5 inches tall (1.65 meters) and weighs about 110 pounds (50 kilograms). She has light brown skin and long, straight hair.

She has several distinctive tattoos that could help identify her. These include an image of Santa Muerte, a portrait of her daughter, and small tattoos on her fingers.

Disappearances Remain a Persistent Concern in Baja California

Missing persons cases continue to be a serious issue across Baja California. The FGE routinely issues public search alerts, and multiple cases have been active in the Ensenada area in recent months. In April 2026 alone, the FGE also sought help locating a mother named Judith and her children, who had been missing from the Colonia Ignacio Allende neighborhood in Ensenada since January 2026.

Baja California has drawn national and international attention over disappearances in recent years. In 2024, the murders of Australian brothers Callum and Jake Robinson and American surfer Jack Carter Rhoad near La Bocana, south of Ensenada, prompted widespread calls for improved security along the coast. Three suspects were arrested in that case.

Residents who may have seen Romero Vázquez or have any information about her disappearance are urged to contact the FGE immediately. Even small details can prove critical in active missing persons investigations.
