Baja California’s Escuadrón Violeta, the state’s specialized domestic violence response unit, arrested a 34-year-old man in Tijuana on May 7 after he repeatedly shoved and threatened his partner inside their home in the Valle de Puebla neighborhood.

The suspect, identified as José Ramón “N” and originally from Culiacán, Sinaloa, was detained after the victim called 911. The state’s C5 emergency coordination center flagged the incident and dispatched Escuadrón Violeta officers to the scene. After confirming the assault, officers took José Ramón into custody and transferred him to the Fiscalía General del Estado (FGE), Baja California’s state Attorney General’s office, for investigation.
