Baja California state prosecutors are asking the public for help locating a 30-year-old Ensenada woman who has not been seen since late March 2026.
Kenia Janette Salgado Garneri was last seen in the Pórticos del Mar neighborhood on Ensenada’s eastern side. The Fiscalía General del Estado (FGE), the state attorney general’s office, issued the missing person alert through its Ensenada branch of the Unidad de Búsqueda de Personas Desaparecidas o No Localizadas (Missing and Unlocated Persons Search Unit).
Physical Description and Identifying Tattoos
Authorities describe Salgado Garneri as slender with light brown skin, dark chestnut hair, and light brown eyes. She has several tattoos that could help identify her, including the word “Garneri” on her neck and tributes to her parents on her chest and abdomen.
No details about the circumstances of her disappearance have been released. Prosecutors have not said whether foul play is suspected or whether she was last seen with anyone.
How to Report Information
Anyone with information about Salgado Garneri’s whereabouts can contact the Ensenada branch of the Missing and Unlocated Persons Search Unit directly. The FGE regularly issues these alerts and distributes physical descriptions and photographs to aid searches across the state.
Pórticos del Mar is a residential development located along the road toward Ojos Negros, east of downtown Ensenada. The neighborhood sits in one of the city’s growing suburban zones, several miles inland from the coast.
Baja California has faced a persistent crisis of disappearances in recent years. The state’s missing persons registry contains thousands of open cases, and search collectives led by families of the disappeared have become an active force in cities across the state, including Ensenada, Tijuana, and Mexicali. Community organizations routinely share missing person alerts on social media to extend the reach of official searches.
