Staff at Ensenada General Hospital are asking the public to help identify an unconscious man found on a downtown street in the early hours of Tuesday, May 20. The man remains in serious condition and has no identification.
A Red Cross ambulance transported the man to the hospital after he was discovered unresponsive on a public street near the Hotel Villamarina in central Ensenada. He is estimated to be about 40 years old. His only distinguishing feature reported so far is a “Raiders” tattoo on his left arm.
Hospital Staff Issue Public Appeal
Hospital personnel have been unable to determine the man’s identity or contact any relatives. He arrived with no personal belongings or documents that could help trace his family. The circumstances that led to his collapse on the street have not been disclosed.
This type of public appeal is not uncommon at Ensenada General Hospital. In September 2024, the same facility issued a similar call when a 34-year-old man named Erick Alcaraz Martínez was hospitalized after an epileptic episode on the street. In that case, the patient told staff his family lived in Michoacán and he had no relatives in Ensenada.
How to Help
Anyone who recognizes the description or may know the man’s identity is urged to contact Ensenada General Hospital immediately. The hospital can be reached at 646-176-7600 or 646-176-7800, extensions 3420 or 3514.
The Hotel Villamarina is located on Avenida López Mateos, Ensenada’s main tourist corridor, an area frequented by visitors and locals alike. The downtown location means the man could be a local resident, a worker from outside the region, or potentially a visitor.
Ensenada General Hospital serves as the primary public hospital for the city and surrounding communities. It regularly handles emergency cases involving unidentified patients, particularly those found incapacitated on public streets.
The hospital has not provided additional details about the man’s medical condition beyond confirming it is serious. No updates on his status have been released since his admission early Tuesday morning.
