The Los Cabos municipal government will host a free Women’s Employment and Development Fair this Friday, May 29, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Soriana Caribe store inside Mi Plaza Los Cabos. The event is organized by the Municipal Women’s Institute (IMMLC) and Mexico’s National Employment Service.
Six employers have confirmed participation: Banamex, Chedraui, Truper, Global Gas, Ánima, and Domino’s Pizza. All are offering formal job vacancies with benefits. Attendees should bring a current résumé or a completed job application to participate in on-site recruiting.
Services Beyond Job Placement
The fair goes beyond hiring. Free informational booths will cover open high school enrollment, health services, youth programs, and economic development resources. The IMMLC’s violence-prevention unit, known as UALIVI, will offer free legal and psychological counseling at the event.
Mi Plaza Los Cabos is a commercial center on the main corridor between San José del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas, making it accessible from both towns. The Soriana Caribe supermarket anchors the plaza and serves as the fair’s main venue.
Who Should Attend
The fair targets women seeking formal employment in tourism, retail, and service industries. Formal employment in Mexico means workers receive benefits mandated by law, including health insurance through IMSS, paid vacation, and a year-end bonus known as aguinaldo.
The XV Ayuntamiento (15th municipal administration) of Los Cabos organized the event as part of its broader push to connect women with stable employment and social services. No registration is required; walk-ins are welcome during the four-hour window.
