The city of La Paz, Baja California Sur, has launched a new walk-in municipal services center designed to cut red tape for residents handling city permits and procedures. The Centro Integral de Servicios Municipales, known as CISMUN, operates Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. alongside the municipal Treasury offices.
The center offers document review, in-person guidance on city paperwork, and follow-up on pending requests. A dedicated WhatsApp assistance line (612 213 8782) has also been activated for remote support, allowing residents to get help without visiting in person.
Nearly 8,000 Requests Processed in 2025
CISMUN has already handled nearly 8,000 service requests in 2025, according to the city government. Officials say the first quarter of 2026 is tracking at a similar pace. The center was created to consolidate municipal processes that previously required visits to multiple offices scattered across the city.
For La Paz residents dealing with property permits, business licenses, or other municipal paperwork, the center is meant to serve as a single point of contact. Staff can walk applicants through requirements, check document status, and help resolve issues that might otherwise stall in the bureaucratic pipeline.
WhatsApp Line Adds Remote Access
The WhatsApp line is a notable addition. Residents can message the number at 612 213 8782 to ask questions about permit requirements, check on the status of a pending request, or get guidance before making a trip to the office. The service operates during the same hours as the walk-in center.
Municipal paperwork in La Paz has historically been a time-consuming process. Property transactions, construction permits, and business license renewals often required multiple trips to different city departments. Mayor Milena Quiroga’s administration has framed CISMUN as part of a broader push toward digital transformation and improved citizen services in the municipality.
The center is located at the municipal Treasury building on Boulevard Luis Donaldo Colosio, a major thoroughfare in La Paz that most residents will recognize. Walk-ins are accepted during operating hours with no appointment needed.
