Construction crews began rehabilitating the southern access road to La Paz on Monday, a 5.2-kilometer stretch of the Carretera Transpeninsular (Highway 1) running from Colonia Calafia to the Parque Industrial. The state government is investing 42 million pesos ($2.4 million USD) in the project.
The work covers repaving, lane markings, drainage improvements, and shoulder repairs along one of the most heavily trafficked corridors into the Baja California Sur capital.
