The National Employment Service (SNE) in Baja California Sur will hold two job fairs in June, putting more than 750 formal positions on the table for job seekers in Los Cabos and La Paz. Both events are free and open to walk-ins.
The first fair takes place June 12 at the Universidad del Golfo de California in Cabo San Lucas. Organizers expect to offer more than 300 openings at that event. The second, larger fair follows on June 18 at Arena La Paz, with over 450 positions available. Both fairs run from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
What to Bring and How to Register
Attendees need only a government-issued photo ID to enter. Those who prefer to register in advance can do so at empleo.gob.mx/ferias. The SNE recommends bringing several copies of a current résumé or completed job application forms.
The positions span tourism, commercial, and service sectors, ranging from operational roles to middle management and executive openings. All listed jobs include legal benefits and social security enrollment, meaning they are formal positions under Mexican labor law.
Government Services on Site
Representatives from federal, state, and municipal agencies will staff information booths at both events. Attendees can get free guidance on employment programs, social services, and other government support available in Baja California Sur.
The SNE has held similar events earlier in 2026. A pair of job fairs in February offered more than 800 vacancies across Los Cabos and La Paz, targeting the same mix of industries. The recurring format reflects steady labor demand in the state, where population growth in both cities continues to push the need for workers in hospitality, retail, and professional services.
For residents considering formal employment, these fairs offer a direct path to companies hiring with full benefits. The SNE has indicated it plans to expand the traveling fair model to other municipalities in Baja California Sur later this year.
