Doors open at 5 p.m. and the first bell rings at 6 p.m., with tickets starting at 500 pesos (about $25 USD) available at the arena box office.
Undefeated Correa Headlines for Strawweight Title
The main event features undefeated Alisson “Divina” Correa (6-0, 2 KOs) against Blanca Torrescano (7-2, 3 KOs) for the FECOMBOX strawweight title. The bout is scheduled for eight rounds. Correa, who has yet to taste defeat as a professional, faces a step up in competition against the more experienced Torrescano.
A second FECOMBOX title fight is also on the card, though specific details on that co-main event were not disclosed by the promoter. FECOMBOX is the governing body that oversees state boxing commissions across Mexico, and its titles carry official standing in the country’s professional boxing rankings.
14-Fight Card Promises a Full Night
Promoter David Ayala said the event has been months in the making. “We are just waiting for the day to arrive so we can witness this great event,” Ayala told Semanario ZETA.
The full card includes 14 bouts, making it one of the larger boxing events Baja Boxing has put together at the venue. Arena Tecate, located in the border city of Tecate about 35 miles east of downtown Tijuana, has become a regular home for the promotion’s fight nights. Baja Boxing has hosted multiple events there over the past year, building a following among local fight fans.
Getting to Arena Tecate
Tecate sits along Mexico Highway 2 and is reachable from Tijuana in roughly 45 minutes by car. The city also has its own border crossing into California, making it accessible for those coming from the U.S. side. Fans driving from Ensenada face about an hour on the Tecate-Ensenada highway (Mexico 3).
The 500-peso general admission price point keeps the event affordable. Baja Boxing has not announced whether the card will be streamed online, though the promotion has previously broadcast events on YouTube.
