Nearly 330 off-road racing teams will compete in Los Cabos from March 20 to 22 at the 2026 President Motorsport Cup. The event runs at the Luis “Loco” Sandoval track in San José del Cabo and opens the regional motorsports calendar for the year.

Organizers expect this edition to be one of the most attended in the cup’s history. Competitors are arriving from across Mexico and the United States. Races run 10 laps per circuit on March 21 and 22, with both cars and motorcycles in the field.

The cup runs alongside the San José del Cabo Traditional Festival, the city’s major spring celebration. That pairing draws both motorsports fans and general festival visitors to the same corridor over the same weekend.

If you want to see the vehicles up close before race day, head to the Teniente José Antonio Mijares public square on Thursday, March 20, between noon and 7:00 p.m. Organizers are holding open vehicle inspections there for the public.

Practice sessions run Friday and Saturday from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the track. Fans can watch drivers work the circuit before official competition begins. It is a solid way to get oriented with the event and find a good viewing spot for the weekend races.

The President Motorsport Cup is one of the larger off-road events on the southern Baja California Sur calendar. For expats and visitors in the Los Cabos area this week, it offers a full three days of motorsport activity tied to one of the region’s established spring festivals. Plan for heavier-than-usual traffic near San José del Cabo through the weekend.
